Matthew is a current JPP Apprentice working within our structures team and he is one of our newest profiles on our apprentice page.
“Throughout my A-Levels, the modules I enjoyed the most were rooted within mechanics, applied within both maths and physics. From this I was determined to take my enjoyment of mechanics further, and look to use it within my career. Eventually I found Structural Engineering. I applied to work with JPP during my gap year and have never looked back.”

JPP’s civil engineers are working on the Heritage Park project in central Northampton where recently pieces of ironstone, which may have been part of Northampton Castle where Thomas Becket was tried, have been found in the Chalk Lane car park. Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury was put on trial for contempt in 1164. He was later assassinated in Canterbury Cathedral. John Speed’s 1610 map of Northampton shows the castle.

Ever wondered how far SI companies travel to undertake ground investigations?
Our recent project map generated in HoleBASE SI shows us just where our adventurous and talented engineers have been.
Travelling the country provides our engineers experience of varying ground conditions, engineering parameters, contamination risks and geohazards such as chalk dissolution and cambering.
JPP are always happy to assist our clients and offer our experience and expertise in providing tailored Site Investigation strategies to provide our clients with the right information first time.
Please get in contact with us if you would like any assistance for your project.
