CPD at JPP

DeepRoot Urban Solutions Ltd presented our latest CPD on Thursday 3rd April on Drainage/Attenuation Solutions and Concepts. Thanks to the team at DeepRoot Urban Solutions Ltd and to all the JPP staff who attended. It was a superb presentation and the content was extremely useful to our civils teams in particular.

Lock repairs on the Grand Union Canal

We are so fortunate that our flagship head office sits on the edge of the Grand Union Canal in Whilton Locks, Daventry and, recently, we had the pleasure of watching works being completed to repair this iconic waterway.

Locks 12 and 13 next to our building had new handmade gates fitted and this section of canal was drained so the repairs could be done. As you can imagine it was hugely interesting for our teams to watch the works progress.

The canal has now reopened and we are pleased to see the barges back travelling along the waterway.

Grosvenor Gardens – Drainage Design

JPP are proud to have provided Infrastructure Design services on Grosvenor Gardens.

This 125,000sq ft Grade II listed building is in the heart of Belgravia, London and the proposals include the redevelopment of the existing building to create 42 residential apartments and a two-storey basement.

Harlington Residential Development

Fantastic to see such great progress on the development at Harlington West in Bedfordshire with Crest Nicholson.

Great to finally round off S38, S104, S185, S106 and S23 approval for the first Infrastructure and On-Plot Phases at the Harlington West development in Bedfordshire on behalf of Crest Nicholson plc.

An exciting and topographically challenging site comprising of 400 plots – which we are now looking forward to help drive through into completion of Phase 1 and to achieve technical approvals on future Phase 2.

Thanks to Jack Wisniewski and his team for such an outstanding job.

CPD at JPP – Deltabeam Slim Floor Systems

Tim Butler from Peikko UK Ltd presented a CPD at our head office at Grand Union Works on DELTABEAM® slim floor systems.

Tim explained how the system can lower embodied carbon and achieve substantial savings with lower buildings. It allows a thinner floor, longer spans, a reduction in vertical materials, foundations, columns, and wall supports, omits fire boarding, and saves time onsite.

Guilsborough Careers Fair

JPP attended the Guilsborough Careers Fair on Wednesday 5th March.

Our group were proudly represented by Patricia Watson from our Consulting team, Libby Rogers from JPP Geotechnical & Environmental and Tim Brennan, Director of JPP Surveying.

It is always a pleasure to meet the students from Guilsborough Academy and inspire them to consider engineering as a career path in the future.
