We were delighted to be invited to attend the Bishop Stopford Alumni Event yesterday.
Group Director Toby Heath, a student at the school from 2000 – 2007, spoke to the Year 10 students about life as a Civil Engineer and we were pleased that so many pupils took the time to ask questions and find out more about the role. We also got to share the oportunities we have for them in the future when they are considering their next steps after school.
Thank you to the staff for organising and to the students who listened so attentively to all of the presentations on a very hot afternoon.
Are you interested in a career in Engineering? Do you want to find out more about what an Engineer does?
Please get in touch and we would happy to welcome you to visit us and learn about the work we do.

Engineer, Joe Winter recently took a visit to conduct an as-built survey on a scheme that he, along with Senior Engineer Harry Smith as part of JPP Highways, completed design works on December 2021.
The works consisted of a priority junction to serve a commercial development in Bicester, Oxfordshire with an LTN1/20 (great read) compliant cycle crossing and associated segregated cycle/footway. The works have been completed to a high standard and its great to see projects come to completion and see how our designs contribute to the real world highway network.
Fantastic work from the JPP Highways team who consistently deliver professional highway design and consultancy services for ‘off-site’ highway infrastructure schemes associated with residential and commercial developments.

The refurbishment of our new office in Kettering is progressing well and we are looking forward to welcoming our teams in July. The works are being designed and managed by our own CEO, Ben Arnsby who is keeping the refurbishment under wraps so staff can see the stunning workspace in its entirety on completion. However, he has allowed us a sneak peak into some of the finer details and it looks like it will be a fantastic space to work in.
Want to join us at JPP Kettering? We have vacancies advertised on our website at https://jppnew.backlightdev.co.uk/vacancies/

We are delighted to welcome Ethan Dalton and Sam Petch to JPP Geotechnical & Environmental. Two exceptional engineers who will be a fantastic addition to our ever expanding team.
Ethan and Sam will be undertaking a wide range of geotechnical and environmental ground investigation work from initial scoping assessments, walkover surveys and desk study assessments to a wide range of intrusive ground investigation techniques.
Their work will also include environmental risk assessments for proposed and existing cemetery sites across the UK.

The spotlight is on awareness about the unique challenges men face regarding their health. From stress levels to physical health checks – it is important that we acknowledge the different issues men face.
Did you know that ….
• One in five men won’t live past 65.
• There could be implications to keeping your phone in your pocket.
• Men are more likely to suffer from conditions like cancer, cardiovascular disease, and
type 2 diabetes.
• Men are at higher risk of suicide.
How do JPP ensure that men’s health is prioritised and safeguarded?

Sobering statistics, but ones that can be changed. So as part of Men’s Health Week we have sent all of our employees the ‘DIY Man MOT’ thanks to the Men’s Health Forum. We have encouraged our male emloyees to complete the simple checks, and our female employees to pass it on to a male friend or family member.
You can find the MOT here.

At JPP we aim to build strong relationships with our clients. We want them trust our expertise, value our skills and know that we will always go above and beyond to deliver the highest standards.
Bellway Homes is a client who began as a small business just like us. They have a passion for building exceptional homes with the needs of families at the heart of their design and construction. Most recently we have been fortunate to work with Bellway Homes South Midlands to carry out the preliminary engineering designs to gauge the feasibility and cost implications of the residential development at Staverton Lodge in Daventry.
It has been a pleasure to work with this forward thinking, talented team and we hope to collaborate on many more projects in the future.

Friday 30th May was a momentous day in JPP’s history as we said farewell to our Group Director Phil Brown and welcomed the newest custodians of our brilliant business.
A smooth transition was ensured by the fact that our newest owners are the engineers who already work for us. Engineers who have shown passion, dedication and determination to make JPP the best in its field. With Ben Arnsby remaining at the head of the business as CEO and Nicola Arnsby continuing in her role as Finance Director, we are delighted to announce that Toby Heath and Mark Turbutt will be taking on the roles of Group Directors across all divisions.
Ian McGrane, Darryl Kelly, Tom Leatherland, Luke Clarke, Steve Owen, Katherine Rose, Adam Kemp, Michael Liddiard and Harry Smith have also invested, and together they represent all sectors of the JPP Group guaranteeing that JPP will continue to offer exceptional engineering far into the future.
We are thrilled to have such a strong team leading our business, each bringing their own expertise and interests to ensure that the JPP Group goes from strength to strength.

JPP provided structural engineering design for the alterations to Fortescue Zero’s R&D and Manufacturing Facility in Banbury. Our expertise helped adapt the existing structure to enable their pioneering work in heavy industry decarbonisation.
At this facility, Fortescue Zero is developing and shipping cutting-edge Power Systems for the Liebherr T264 Mine Haul truck—an advanced electric system designed to replace diesel power and drive a more sustainable future.
We’re proud to support projects that push the boundaries of innovation and sustainability. You can view Fortescue Zero’s LinkedIn article by following the link below.
