WORK ANNIVERSARIES Congratulations to Joe Winter, Oliver White and Ellis Howley on their work anniversaries this month. Joe is celebrating 7 years with us at JPP here in Northants and, in that time, he has progressed to Senior Technician and earned his EngTech MICE qualification. Oliver and Ellis have worked with us for 2 years and have progressed from Trainees to Technicians. All 3 are colleagues within our civils team and we couldn’t be prouder of what they have all achieved in their time with us.

MATTHEW BALDWIN
Congratulations to Trainee Technician, Matthew Baldwin who was voted ‘Employee of the Year 2024’ at our recent Staff Development Day.
This award, voted by our staff, is given to someone who shows excellence, not just as an engineer but also as a team member.
Matthew works very hard both here in the office and at University where he is studying for his degree. He also supports most of our out of office events whether they are social, sporting, charitable or celebratory.
An all rounder who is a joy to work with! Deservedly ‘Employee of the Year 2024’ and definitely an engineer who will do great things with us here at JPP in the future.

IAN MCGRANE
Congratulations to Director, Ian McGrane who was voted ‘Employee of the Day 2024’ at our recent Staff Development Day. Ian organised and hosted the ‘JPP Traitors’ game and the staff thoroughly enjoyed trying to identify who was Faithful and who was the Traitor within their group. Ian won by a landslide – even after we subtracted the votes he coerced from the traitors! Thanks Ian for organising such an enjoyable task – your enthusiasm, creativity and positivity was clearly greatly appreciated. You have set the bar high for next year!

What an amazing day we had on Friday at our annual Staff Development Day. Staff from all three of our offices attended the event at Sedgebrook Hall in Chapel Brampton, Northamptonshire.
We learnt about how JPP has been performing and what we hope for the future. We participated in workshops about customer service and soil testing. We built towers and looked for ‘Traitors’ amongst our groups.
Most importantly we reunited with old colleagues, met new colleagues, laughed, chatted and had a great time together.

Our offices will be closed on Friday 8th March so our staff can attend our annual Staff Development Day. If you have an enquiry then please send us an email at mail@jppnew.backlightdev.co.uk and we will respond as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience.
We are delighted to welcome Peter Searing BSc (Hons) MSc to JPP. Peter has joined JPP Geotechnical & Environmental as a Geo-Environmental Engineer.

Happy birthday to our Group Director Phil Brown who is almost as old as JPP itself! Phil, you work so hard developing and building the JPP Group and we truly appreciate all you do for our brilliant business.

Congratulations to Anthony Paton (Director, JPP Geotechnical & Environmental), Liam Billing (Site Operative), Sam Hitchcock (Engineer), Helen Parr-Phillips (Business Support Officer) and Sam Flower (Technician) on their work anniversaries this month.
Here at JPP we succeed together as a team and each of these members of staff contribute to that success on a daily basis. We are so grateful for the pride they take in their work and the commitment they show our business.

We are delighted to announce that JPP have been accepted as members of the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management. We hope to be able to assist the bereavement sector in developing new cemetery sites, undertaking groundwater risk assessments and assisting in the new EA permitting requirements.
Our unique range of in-house services and trusted partners offers our clients, and their projects, the ability to benefit from our wide range of specialists, helping to bring sustainable, affordable and award-winning projects to life from the ground up.”
If we can be of any assistance please feel free to get in touch.

Last week we celebrated the contributions Apprentices make to our business as well as raising awareness of the opportunities we can offer you.
JPP have offered apprenticeships for over 20 years so we know how to support our Apprentices through their degree, taking them from Technician all the way to Director.
A JPP Apprentice Programme is different for everyone. We realise that each person is unique and therefore the route you will take to get your degree will vary. Take a look at our Apprentice Route Map via the link below to see what your apprenticeship might look like.
Could you be our next Apprentice?
