In September we welcomed Macalloy to our head office to talk about the properties and features of tension and compression members used in bridge construction.
A huge thank you to the Macalloy team for sparking conversations that will help our engineers understand the issues faced in bridge construction and how they can be overcome.

Ever wondered what a working day at our head office at Grand Union Works looks like? Our teammate Maddie decided to give you a glimpse of our incredible office environment. Big thanks to Maddie for the video that highlights the fantastic place where we work.
It has been a great year for professional development here at JPP. Every month we invite a business in to present on a topic that will enhance and improve the understanding our engineers have of the latest materials and technologies.
So far we have welcomed teams from across the country to talk about expansion jointing, permeable paving, slim floor structures, structural strengthening, sustainability and SUDs.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to visit our head office to continue our professional development.

The Asps, Warwick is a mixed development that includes 900 dwellings, two commercial areas, a school and also a park & ride. The site is split with Taylor Wimpey Midlands constructing 450 dwellings and Bloor Homes constructing a further 450 dwellings.
Following completion of the Infrastructure and Phase 1 works, JPP look forward to progressing the Phase 2 detailed design works for another approx. 450 plots for our clients Taylor Wimpey plc and Bloor Homes now that planning approval is granted.
The latest drone footage, expertly filmed by Drone Surveying, shows the progress made on this outstanding project.
Thanks to the team at Stormwater Management who came to our head office to present a CPD session on ‘Sustainable Urban Drainage’.
The CPD presentation focused on treating polluted surface water runoff with engineered filter media, featuring an introduction to their organic bio-retention media.
CPD sessions are very important in ensuring that we have up to date, in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies and systems, so we are very grateful to the Stormwater Management team for presenting, and to the JPP staff who took time out of their busy schedules to attend.

Emma Small, Associate Director of JPP Geotechnical & Environmental, attended the Bedford Construction Breakfast last week. The event is sponsored by Scott White and Hookins, The Landscape Partnership and Woods Hardwick and it is an opportunity for local construction professionals to get together informally for a coffee and buffet breakfast. An excellent morning was had by all with some great connections created with other professionals.
