We are so fortunate that our flagship head office sits on the edge of the Grand Union Canal in Whilton Locks, Daventry and, recently, we had the pleasure of watching works being completed to repair this iconic waterway.
Locks 12 and 13 next to our building had new handmade gates fitted and this section of canal was drained so the repairs could be done. As you can imagine it was hugely interesting for our teams to watch the works progress.
The canal has now reopened and we are pleased to see the barges back travelling along the waterway.
Thanks to Geo-Env Associate Director Emma Small for the photos.
You can read all about the works completed on the BBC website. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgev4q8j8po
