Project Summary
JPP (formerly known as Smith Foster) are proud to have been involved with the design of this modern residential property overlooking Poole harbour working closely with Morgan Carey Architects and Matrod Frampton contractors to deliver a high specification contemporary property.
The layout of the accommodation required large clear spans and careful design to ensure the structure was concealed with the depth of the concrete floor plates and to avoid downstand beams.
The swimming pool features a reinforced concrete pool structure and a hybrid superstructure of steel and glulam timber design, the roof structure being expressed above the pool as part of the architectural design.
Works to rebuild the boundary wall were also undertaken with sensitive detailing of the foundations being required to avoid damage to nearby protected trees.
